Albert Makes Easy Work Of Horvath, Wins UBO Europe Title

Young, but experienced, Ferenc Albert had every intention of grabbing the opportunity with both hands when he fought fellow countryman Gergely Horvath for the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) European Light Heavyweight title on Saturday (October 28) at A Terem Fight Hall in Budapest, Hungary.

With several failed attempts to win a professional title in his opponents country, Albert was finally on home soil in a big fight, and he took the initiative from the start to make sure former UBO International title-challenger Horvath was never in the contest.

After a strong first round, 24-year-old Albert found the finishing punches already in the second round to register an impressive technical knockout victory. He was simply too sharp and determined for Horvath, who never found any kind of rhythm to threaten Albert.

Winning his first championship after just over four years as a pro, Romanian-born Albert improves to 25-12 (13), and Horvath (23) is now 7-7 (3).

The fight headlined a show promoted by Tibor Feja and his Fight Night Show Promotions.
